We did this spacious, stylish and functional Hip to Gable loft conversion for our clients in New Malden as they wanted to more space for their growing family. This stunning loft bedroom is complete with en-suite, a cosy seating area, and a convenient work-from-home setup.

The initial idea was to create a loft space to unwind, relax. As our clients work from home, we wanted to flood the loft with incredible amount of natural light to give to space a fresh and bright feeling which made it a perfect place to get things done.

The seating area under the skylight is the ideal spot to curl up with a good book while having a cup of tea.

The en-suite is designed with keeping modern convenience and comfort in mind, with sleek fixtures and fittings that make getting ready in the morning a pleasure.

We also created an open plan kitchen and living area, installed herringbone pattern floor with Oakwood, did a utility room, first floor bathroom and the stairs leading up to the loft bedroom.

The project was completed in 2022.

“We used GDB for a hip to gable and dormer loft extension, as well as for creating an open plan kitchen/dining/living space at the back of the house. The work started in November 2021 and was scheduled to be completed in March 2022. In the end things finished up in April 2022, not least because we decided to redo the first-floor bathroom as well as complete the work originally specified. Apart from the extras there were no unexpected costs, and the work was completed to the agreed budget. Sapna and then Nuan from GDB came along weekly to check up on how things were progressing.
